The newly renovated Cleary Commons at Cleary University serves as a premier event space designed to host university functions, banquets, and weddings for up to 175 guests. The university sought a flooring solution that would deliver the sophistication and visual impact expected of a high-end venue, while maintaining the durability and low-maintenance performance required for frequent use.
The project team required a seamless, decorative flooring system capable of withstanding heavy foot traffic and regular cleaning cycles, all while complementing the modern aesthetic of the renovation. Traditional stained concrete and vinyl options were unable to provide the depth, gloss, and custom finish desired for the space.
The Solution
Resinwerks partnered with the project team to develop a custom metallic epoxy system using proprietary, high-performance metallic pigments in a rich red tone, uniquely formulated to align with Cleary University’s brand colors.
The system was installed over a mechanically prepared concrete substrate and sealed with a high-wear urethane topcoat, providing long-term protection and a vibrant, mirror-like finish. The reflective depth of the metallic epoxy enhances the architectural lighting throughout the Commons, creating an elegant and contemporary environment for every event.
