Located in Woburn, MA - Alchemy Fitness offers a truly one-of-a-kind fitness experience that services clients from all over the the Boston area. The owner, Leslie Boyce, was looking for a unique flooring system that would help his lobby and treatment rooms reinforce his brand while also serving as a durable finish.
Metallic Epoxy
Professionally installed by Premier Concrete Coatings of New England, the metallic epoxy system consisted of a 4-coat process installed by a team of 3. Prior to the application, the business owner worked in conjunction with the flooring contractor to remove existing carpet and a significant amount of adhesive on the concrete.
Once removed, the concrete floor was ground to a CSP-2 profile and thoroughly vacuumed. The installer applied a double prime coat in a black color to limit any potential for pin-holing and sanded in between coats. The metallic epoxy was then applied at rate of 70 SF/gal. The metallic finish incorporated a dark grey/black color with silver and gold accents. Once cured the metallic epoxy was sanded one final time prior to the application of a urethane topcoat.
